Choosing a wedding date

Choosing your wedding date is one of the first things to decide as you start planning your wedding.

Consider the time of year and season that is special to you. Are you picturing a fall wedding with fall colors like golden yellow, emerald green and dusty pink or something more in the summer with pastels?

Dates to avoid might be major holidays. For one thing travel is more expensive for holidays & Thanksgiving is the single-most expensive weekend to travel. Not everyone has a Monday-Friday office job and can take off for a long weekend so make sure you communicate with the VIPs you want to be there.

New Year’s Eve is becoming increasingly popular, as are long weekend holidays that give the guests Mondays off from work.

Considering the best time to be off from work is also something to take into consideration so you can take the days leading up to your wedding off guilt-free.
