We would like to thank the Northeast Kansas County Road Officials for choosing us to host their conference on March 31 in the Mercantile (lower) Ballroom. Pulled pork sandwiches, cheesy potatoes, corn, salad and cookies were served for lunch!
The Westar Energy Electric Reliability Project meeting took place in the Riverbend Ballroom at the Atchison Event Center on March 24. This informational meeting allowed residents of Atchison to get their questions answered directly by Westar Energy staff regarding the new transmission line that is being proposed for the new south Atchison station located by Bradken. We were happy to make accommodations for an important informational community meeting!
Last night we hosted the Atchison Chamber‘s Farm City Banquet, which celebrates the cooperation between farm families and those in the cities and towns that have made Atchison a unique place to live, work and raise a family. The night was full of good food, entertainment by ACCHS Sound Masters (under the direction of Amy Eckert), and fun activities, including a homemade pie contest and auction! We had a blast hosting the 4th Annual Atchison Area Bridal Show on February 28th. It was such a fun event with lots of brides and guests eager to speak with our vendors. The Fashion Show showcased dresses from the Bridal Boutique in St. Joseph, MO, tuxes from Rox’s Images, hair by the ladies at Sunsetters of Atchison, makeup by Melissa Chestnut and Melissa Navinskey with Mary Kay, and music from DJ Mile High Entertainment. Congratulations to our $500 Grand Prize winner, Erin, and a BIG thank you to all our guests, vendors, models, and helpers! We can’t wait for the 5th Annual show next year!
We were so proud to host the Atchison Area Chamber of Commerce’s 97th Annual Chamber Banquet on January 23, 2016. The theme this year was “Country Western”. It was such a fun event; full of very stylish ladies and gents.
